Message from Ms. Livy
Hi Edgewood Families,
I’ve missed seeing your students this past year and hope everything is going well for each of you! I wanted to let you know that I will not be returning to Edgewood for the 2025/2026 school year, as I plan to stay home with my son Domi, who is now 10 months old, for a bit longer before returning to work full-time. While I’m excited to spend this time with him, it’s certainly a bittersweet decision.
I’m so grateful for my time at Edgewood, and I do hope to return to 4J in the future when my little guy is a bit older. Wishing all of you the best, and I hope our paths cross again down the road.
Livy

Volunteer for Fun Night!
The biggest fundraiser of the year is coming up and we need your help to make it a success! Please check the sign up sheet here to see if you can help out for a shift. We have done our best to keep the shifts as short as possible, and everything you need will be provided.
Fun Night is Edgewood's Annual Carnival featuring carnival games, prizes, raffle baskets, food trucks, face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy, a hair salon, a treat trot, a wine wall, a used book store, and more! The funds raised at this event go to many great programs that the PTA offers, such as Storyteller Kelly, Edgewood Village, which provides snack packs for kids that are low on food security, holiday break meals and jackets and such for families that need them, as well as a school garden, artist-in-residence, teacher requests for sensory supplies, and so much more.

EDGEWOOD SILENT AUCTION - Donations Needed!
We are currently planning our 3rd annual Edgewood PTA Silent Auction for the first week in May. Letters have gone out to local business owners, but we know many of our Edgewood families have businesses or connections that could help with donations. Anything goes! From gift baskets, event tickets, experiences, services, vacation rentals and more. For the last 2 years, an Edgewood family graciously donated 2 nights to their 2 Airbnb cabins and it made up almost 15% of our total amount raised. Imagine if we had a few more rentals how much it could bring in to support our students! Our goal this year is to raise $10,000, and with your help, I know we can!
All donations are tax deductible, and we are happy to provide you with a receipt including our EIN. If you have any questions, or would like to donate, please email Meghan Marcott at edgewoodschoolsilentauction@gmail.com.
Do you know what your plans are for next year?
We are especially interested in knowing if your student will NOT attend Edgewood or SBMS. Please fill out this short survey to help us know who is returning and who has other plans!
Do you have an incoming Kinder next year?
We would love to know who will be joining us at Edgewood next year! Please message the office at bunson_t@4j.lane.edu to let us know. We'll be accepting enrollments after spring break for 25-26 school year!
RISE in ILLNESS! When to stay home….
Please remind kids to wash hands often and thoroughly! Thank you to everyone who has kept kids with illnesses home to prevent more spread in our classroom.
These are the symptoms we have been seeing the most at school. Here are a few guidelines on when to return to school:
- Fever of 100.4 or greater - Kids should be fever free for 24 hours without taking fever-reducing medicine.
- New cough illness - symptoms need to be consistently improving for 24 hours (no cough or controlled cough)
- Diarrhea/vomiting- symptom free for 24 hours
We appreciate you keeping our Edgewood Community healthy by keeping kids experiencing these symptoms home to recover!
PLEASE PACK AN EXTRA CHANGE OF CLOTHES!
THIS IS TRUE FOR ALL KIDS! Please make sure that kids dress for the weather and have them bring some extra clothes in case they need them. They will be happier as will the front office staff!
